D6 Games is a small indie game developer based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
We are primarily focused on making mobile games for Google Play and the Apple App Store, but are looking into potential releases on Windows, Facebook, and Steam. Working mostly with our own IP we enjoy the creative freedom that we get on our games. We are open to doing contract work on games that we have some interest in, but this is not our main focus.
Our name was chosen by our creator Aaron. He grew up loving to play video games and in his teen years also got into the tabletop game Warhammer: Fantasy. In this game you commonly have to roll six sided dice, which are referred to as a D6. This eventually lead into enjoying a broader range of games including board games, card games, and roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons. Since many video games actually have their roots in classic pen and paper style games it seemed only fitting to choose a name that encompassed these other interests together, hence why the name D6 Games was chosen... plus DICE was already taken.
